What's Going on Here? |
| Welcome! | |
| Quilts, chocolate, and good conversation: What more do we quilters and quilt-lovers need? |
| A place to store our lore and dreams! | |
| With your help, this is such a place. |
In particular, I am interested in magic related to quilts. And I do mean magic. Like stage magic: a rabbit popping out of a a quilted hat. And practiced magic: appliquing your first prize ribbon onto your nephew's quilt, so he'll win first prize in the spelling bee. And real magic: finding your grandmother's long-lost album quilt at a complete stranger's garage sale. But if you have a different definition of "magic" and a different sort of thing to say, that's good too. Please tell your quilting story, your enchanting idea, or your magical fact. The Archives will be richer for it! |
How This WorksYou send me information about quilt-related magic. This might be magic used in making quilts, or magical uses for quilts. It might be a story your mother told you: how her aunt sandwiched a lock of her own hair into a quilt to make your uncle fall in love with her. It might be a superstition you heard somewhere: that it's bad luck to break a needle when sewing your wedding ring quilt. It might be something that you read in a book, made up on the spot, experienced last night, or channeled from the Quilting Muse. Whatever it is, I want to hear about it. Then I sort it and make it accessible to you, along with everyone else's information.
